The Institute believes that the voices and input of learners are critical to the successful implementation of personalized learning. To that end, we have a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) comprised of students from districts in our Southeastern Wisconsin Network. Council members meet a minimum of six times throughout the school year.

Member activities/benefits include:

  • Having a voice in an evolving educational model
  • Leadership and communications skill development
  • Networking opportunities
  • Participation in the National Convening on Personalized Learning
  • Strengthening personal success skills such as creativity, collaboration and problem-solving
