Typical Day

By Laura Vitale, Digital Media Specialist

We’ve called this installment Typical Day, but I think what you’ll realize after listening to the audio is that there really isn’t one! That’s the beauty (and the scary part) of personalized learning. You will hear common themes however. Things like dialogue, conferencing, listening. You’ll also hear them talk about working together with students and teaching in the moment.

These educators talk about how their planning is different now. They no longer do lesson plans in the traditional sense because they can’t predict what their students will be doing tomorrow, much less next week, and of course students won’t all be doing the same thing at the same time anyway. But, by knowing each student – knowing where they are, what interests them and what they’re ready to learn – these teachers can be responsive when they come across resources that might help that process. Listen and then check out our additional resources to learn more.
