Strategically applying influence and information throughout the public education ecosystem has the potential to maximize resources as well as the speed at which transformation occurs. Leveraging the interest, capacity and expertise of individual districts throughout a region accelerates progress and benefits students and families across the region by:
- Fostering innovation
- Generating stakeholder engagement and ownership
- Producing faster results
- Replicating and scaling promising practices
- Increasing the likelihood of sustainability
Our work began with districts in the CESA #1 region in 2010. From about a dozen districts in 2010, the network has expanded to become the largest concentration of personalized learning implementation in the country. Our network currently consists of almost 3,000 educators servicing tens of thousands of students in more than 870 classrooms. We work with them to uncover underlying assumptions about education, explore new principles for a transformed learning environment and support them as they design, implement and re-design student-centered projects.
