The i4PL Leading Learner-Centered Education (LLCE) leadership model evolved from the Honeycomb Model. The LLCE model contains five key levers for district leaders to consider when seeking to build learner-centered systems. The model focuses on two areas of the Essential Foundation of the Honeycomb Model: Learner-Centered Systems and Learning and Teaching. These two areas are where leaders have the most impact and influence to create a sustainable transformational shift to a learner-centered environment. The model focuses on all levels within an organization and provides support for shifting practices and policies toward a fully realized learner-centered environment while keeping the empowered learner at the core. The model contains ways for leadership to self-reflect, identify entry points for learner-centered practices, and action plan within your current systems.
